On August 20, the President of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan received the Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to the RA Tanya Radocha.

Welcoming the guest, the Head of the Parliament has underlined that the problems of the protection of the children’s rights are always at the centre of attention. As to Ara Babloyan, in this respect it is very important to provide the continuity of the programs being implemented in Armenia.

In the context of the protection of the children’s rights, talking about the inclusive education, the Head of the Parliament stressed that especially in case of the children with development problems the provision of the inclusive education should be observed as a global goal. According to Ara Babloyan, in this sense, under the care of the state, the issues, as for example, the early revelation of the problems, then the display of necessary intervention and the provision of full integration of the children to the public life.

Tanya Radocha highlighted the process of the reforms being implemented during recent years in Armenia. She expressed satisfaction on the occasion of the World Children’s Day on the previous year, joining the world initiative of the UNICEF providing the children at least for one day with a microphone by the RA National Assembly.

In the course of the meeting the sides discussed joint initiatives directed to the solution of a number of problems concerning the sphere of the protection of the children’s rights and the possibilities of implementing events.
