1 / 3

The delegation led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov is in Albania. On June 20, within the framework of the visit the NA Deputy Speaker met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Albania Gramoz Ruçi.

The sides discussed issues concerning the Armenian-Albanian parliamentary cooperation and touched upon the opportunities of cooperation of the delegations of two states in the Parliamentary Assemblies.

At the meeting the NA Deputy Speaker touched upon the regional conflicts. Eduard Sharmazanov noted: “Armenia is for regional peace and stability. We are against any destabilization in the region, military solution of conflicts and divisive lines.”

Speaking about the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh problem, the RA NA Deputy Speaker noted: “The conflict should be solved exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship on the basis of the three well-known principles. Azerbaijan should realize that the Artsakh people should make a decision for their future, and Turkey had nothing to do in the NK problem settlement process.”

Issues related to PABSEC activities were discussed. Eduard Sharmazanov opined that the Assembly should remain faithful to its goal and adopted principles and not have the economic structure to be served for the political interests of some states.
