Ara Babloyan Receives Polish Parliamentarians’ Delegation

On June 11, the RA NA President Ara Baloyan received the delegation led by the Head of the Polish-Armenian Parliamentary Group of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Tadeusz Woźniak.

Welcoming the Polish parliamentarians in the RA National Assembly, Ara Babloyan expressed confidence that the visit would promote the further deepening and development of the friendly countries of the two countries.

The Head of the Parliament considered necessary the further rapprochement and enlivening of cooperation of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

Highlighting such mutual visits and contacts, Ara Babloyan remembered with warmth the visit of the delegation led by him to Poland in the previous year, within the framework of which he took part in the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Poland, as well as the 650th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian community.

Emphasizing the ratification of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement by the Sejm of Poland, the President of the National Assembly expressed hope that the Senate of Poland would not delay the ratification of the document.

Talking about the role of the Armenian community in Poland, Ara Babloyan has noted that the Armenians with their devotion and hard work have enjoyed the special attitude of the Polish authorities and have their unique contribution to the Armenian-Polish relations.

On behalf of the delegation the Head of the Polish-Armenian Parliamentary Group expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and attached importance to the further deepening and expansion of cooperation in different spheres of the two countries. According to him, there is still available non used considerable potential, especially in the economic sphere. Tadeusz Woźniak underlined the Polish people’s affection and warm attitude towards Armenia and the Armenian people.

The Head of the Parliamentary Group noted that they were impressed by their visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex: “What happened is painful and tragic. I hope that the heads of the countries will do their best for preventing such crimes in the future,” the Polish parliamentarian said.

Touching upon the perspectives and opportunities of deepening the cooperation in the formats of bilateral as well as, multilateral formats in the frameworks of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, Tadeusz Woźniak expressed readiness of supporting Armenia and sharing the experience of his country.
