On May 15, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights at the regular sitting moderated by Gevorg Kostanyan debated and endorsed a number of draft laws.
By the presentation of the RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan the Committee debated the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Constitutional Law on Human Rights Defender and on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Law on Operative-Investigative Activity.
By the presentation of the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan, the Committee considered the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Code with the enclosed package.
The draft laws by voting were proposed to include in the draft law of the agenda of the third session of the National Assembly sixth convocation.
By the presentation of the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan the Committee debated the report on the Activities of the RA Prosecutor’s Office for 2017.
The Committee also debated the annual report on the Activities of the RA Human Rights Defender during 2017, the Situation of the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms.
The RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderated by Hakob Hakobyan considered at the sitting the draft law on Amending the RA Law on State Pensions, which submitted the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Smbat Saiyan.
The Committee members endorsed the draft law for including it in the draft laws of the agendas of the session and the upcoming regular sittings.
