Parliament Ends Work of Regular Sittings

On May 4, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and passed by voting the bills debated on the previous day.

The election of the candidate Emil Babayan proposed by the RA President for being elected in the vacant position of the RA Constitutional Court (CC) Judge was also held.

The Chair of the RA NA Ad hoc Counting Committee Gagik Melikyan informed that 54 RA NA members out of 105 members took part in the secret ballot, 51 MPs voted for Emil Babayan which was not sufficient. Thus, Emil Babayan was not elected the RA CC Judge.

Let us note that the deputies of the RA NA Tsarukyan and the RA NA Yelq/Way Out did not take part in the voting.

Covering the agenda the parliament ended the work of the regular sittings.
