On April 23, the RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov and the members of the RA NA Armenia-Finland, Norway Friendship Group met with the Members of Finland-Armenia Friendship Group.

The Head of Armenia-Finland, Norway Friendship Group Samvel Nikoyan welcomed the Finnish colleagues’ visit to Armenia, presenting the directions of our country’s foreign policy.

During the talk both sides highlighted the further development of the inter-parliamentary, as well as trade-economic relations.

The Head of Finland-Armenia Friendship Group Juho Eerola informed that during recent years the trade-economic relations between the two countries had activated, and the import and export volumes had grown. The Head of the Group has emphasized the expansion and development of the Armenian-Finnish relations, noting that they are ready to support in every way.

The inner-political situation of Armenia was touched upon. Juho Eerola positively assessed the peaceful procedure of the rallies, attached importance to the negotiating steps being taken by the RA authorities aimed at the peaceful solution of the problem. He expressed hope that the principles of relevant democracy would be preserved.

With regards to the created situation the RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that all possible steps are taken for solving the problem through democratic means.

The Members of Armenia-Finland, Norway Friendship Groups Gagik Minasyan and Hermine Naghdalyan talked about bilateral relations, as well as the created situation. The latter presented the social-economic problems of our country and the circumstances promoting them.

The interlocutors also referred to the importance of the exchange of experience and the cooperation on the international platforms.

The guests informed that on April 24 they would visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to honour the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
