Ara Babloyan Makes Statement on Holding Elections of Five Members of First Staff of Higher Judicial Council

Under Part 2 of Article 144 of the RA Constitutional Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly and Part 5 of Article 166 of the RA Constitutional Law Judicial Code the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) nominated candidates for the posts of the five members of the first staff of the Higher Judicial Council being elected by the National Assembly.

In accordance with the Part 5 of Article 144 of the RA Constitutional Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly the debate of the item of the election in the first post of the five members of the first staff of the Higher Judicial Council will begin at February 27 sitting of the National Assembly at 10:30a.m., and the items on the elections in other four posts will be debated immediately after ending the debate of the item on the election in the previous post.
