On July 24 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan met with the participants of Spyurk (Diaspora) Summer School. The RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan also attended the meeting.

The participants of the meeting were teachers of the Armenian educational centres, heads of the cultural groups, journalists and members of the youth organizations of Diaspora.

Welcoming the participants of Spyurk Summer School in the National Assembly the RA NA President highlighted their visit to the Motherland, the parliament and has noted that during many years he communicates with the participants of the Summer School with love.

Galust Sahakyan highly appreciating the initiative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and underlined the role of the teachers of the Diaspora Armenian educational centres in the maintenance of Armenity. He has stated that the moment of the Armenian people’s ideological unity has matured long ago, as our people have to implement numerous programmes. The NA President emphasized the rapprochement of the Eastern and Western Armenian branches as a result of direct contact.

Galust Sahakyan also touched upon the initiative “The Parliamentarians against Genocides” of the RA National Assembly, underscoring the role of the Armenian communities and educational centres of Diaspora in the implementation of the initiative.

The President of the RA National Assembly urged the teachers of the Diaspora Summer School to continue their activities on maintenance of the Armenian identity with more energy and love.

At the end of the meeting Galust Sahakyan answered with pleasure the questions of the Diaspora teachers and journalists.
