On November 20, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Khosrov Harutyunyan debated the package of bills on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA law on Energy, on Amending the RA law on Licensing and on Amending the RA law on State Duty at the working sitting.
The representatives of the NGOs and the experts attended the debate.
The RA Deputy Minister of Energy Structures and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan has noted that an attempt is made to improve the model of the energy sphere by the legislative package which has functioned since 2001.
Answering the deputies’ questions the Deputy Minister has documented that calling into life the legislative package, it will promote the protection of the consumers’ interests and the gradual liberalisation of the energy market.
The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan highlighted the adoption of the legislative package, presented a number of recommendations and presented the concerns on different issues.
