At Standing Committees of Parliament Debates of RA Draft State Budget for 2017 Begin

On October 31, at the joint sitting of the Standing Committees of the RA National Assembly the debates of the RA draft law on State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2017, where the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, the RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, the MPs and Members of the Government attended.

The RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan noted that the tax-budgetary policy should be transparent and public, understandable for every taxpayer and member of society.

The RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan presented the 4 main principles laid in the basis of the state budget.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA Central Bank (CB) Nerses Yeritsyan presented the conclusion, the estimate of the expenditures and the programme of the capital investments of the CB for 2017.

On the same day at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs and Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Koryun Nahapetyan and Gagik Minasyan the incomes and the expenditures to be allocated to the RA Police, the RA National Security Service and the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations by the RA draft law on the RA State Budget for 2017 were debated.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented the budgetary means to be allocated to the abovementioned spheres in the coming year, and those responsible for the relevant spheres touched upon the reforms to be implemented and the programme priorities, the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, the RA Deputy Head of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan and the Deputy Director of the National Security Service Aram Hakobyan.

The second joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs and Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, which related to the financing of the Ministry of Defense and state reserves, was held in closed door procedure.
