On September 11 a working discussion was held with participation of the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan, which was initiated by the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. Representatives of the NA factions, the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, chancellors of the higher educational institutions of Armenia were taking part in the discussion.

The NA President Hovik Abrahamyan noted that in near future Youth Parliament would be created adjunct to the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, and the goal of the meeting was the discussion of the formation and activities of the future Youth Parliament. Positively and effectively appreciating the work of the previous Youth Parliament, the President of the National Assembly noticed that it actively worked and justified expectations. Hovik Abrahamyan ensured that from now on the parliament would support the implementation of the works of the future Youth Parliament, which according to him is a good school for future political and state figures.

The Committee Chairman Artak Davtyan presented the draft law of the formation and activities of the Youth Parliament. He also highlighted the activity of the Youth Parliament and noted that within the CIS framework Youth Parliament would be created in future, on the basis of which will be the model of the Armenian Youth Parliament.

Emphasizing the activity and the role of the Youth Parliament in encouraging the youth's education and public activity, the chancellors of the higher educational institutions deemed necessary the provision of continuity of the works of the structure. Welcoming the NA President’s initiative, the chancellors of the higher educational institutions made a number of proposals, which as the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan ensured, would be thoroughly debated.
