Members of the NA RPA Faction Meet with the Delegation of the French City Bourg-les- Valence

On June 26 the Head of the NA RPA faction Galust Sahakyan, members of the faction Artak Zakaryan and Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan met with the delegation of the city Bourg-Lès-Valence which was leading Jean-Pierre Sandoz, Chairman of the City Twinning Committee (Président du Comité de Jumelage).

Galust Sahakyan highly assessed the current level of the Armenian-French cooperation, which, according to him, had been turned from inner-state active relations into sincere friendship of two peoples. The Head of the RPA faction expressed satisfaction that the inner-state relations were deepening more and more especially with the realistic steps being taken in the sphere of regional cooperation.

NA deputy Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan said that Bourg-Lès-Valence and Talin were sister cities, and during his tenure as Mayor of Talin the French had implemented serious programmes of long-term development in Talin, especially in the sphere of service. Today that cooperation is going on.

Jean-Pierre Sandoz also highlighted the development of the Armenian-French relations and the active role of the Armenian community of Bourg-Lès-Valence in the works of the local self-government bodies, also conditioning by that activeness the close cooperation with Armenia’s communities, particularly, with Talin.

In the course of the meeting issues pertaining to the development of the Armenian-French regional relations, implementation of new programmes, and in that context, possible support of the RA National Assembly.
