The Children-Youth Republican Recitation Contest-Festival is held under the patronage of the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan within the framework of Open Doors for the second time, which this year is dedicated to the 125th birth anniversary of the Armenian well-known poet Vahan Terian. First time the Recitation Contest-Festival was held in 2009.
On December 6 Yerevan Final Phase of the Children-Youth Recitation of the second Contest-Festival was summed up. In the yard of the distinguished poet Vahan Terian the directors, teachers, schoolchildren of Yerevan schools and the parents laid flowers at the poet’s statue, paying tribute to his memory. Later in the school hall the schoolchildren admired those present with Vahan Terian’s beautiful works.
31 schools from 87 schools of Yerevan had opportunity to take part in two age groups at the final phase.
As a result of the jury assessments 7 participants of 11-14 and 15-17 age groups were recognized winners, which will take part at the final phase of the Children-Youth Recitation of the Second Contest-Festival.
To recap, the final phases of the Recitation Second Contest-Festival in the provinces, Artsakh and Javakhk ended.
