On September 8 the Speaker of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the Vice President of the European Movement International, the State Minister of Belgium Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb and the Secretary General Joao Diogo Pinto.
Greeting the guests the Speaker of the National Assembly highly assessed the activities and mission of the movement. Hovik Abrahamyan underlined that Armenia highlighted the integration into the European family, and took appropriate steps in that direction.
Expressing his gratitude for the reception Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb noted that the European Movement International of Armenia was the most dynamic one in this section of Europe. He welcomed the holding of the European Movement International conference in Armenia in November 2011, expecting the support of RA National Assembly. It will be dedicated to the European integration of the Eastern Partnership member countries.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan considered important the idea of the conference, expressing willingness to support its holding. The Speaker of the National Assembly noted that the conference would have a positive impact on democratic processes.
The interlocutors also touched upon the NK conflict and the Armenian-Turkish relations.
