The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Tigran Torosyan congratulated the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of its independence.

“Dear compatriots,

I congratulate you on the occasion of the proclamation of the 15th anniversary of the NK independence.  16 years:  a small time for history, but it is an important period for a state, passed through  war and peace, during which the  will and capacity of living a worthy life of the people became evident.

The fact of the existence of the second Armenian state is undeniable and the course of the history is henceforth irreversible: Artsakh is a free, democratic country, getting stronger day by day, the international recognition of which is an issue of time.

Once again congratulating on the 16-th anniversary of the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, I bow my head before the tombs and memory of the martyrs and I am convinced, that there are worthy continuers of their great deed - in the name of the safety, peace  and strength of our Motherland.”
