It is Proposed to Create Legal Basis for Anti-Corruption Committee to Have Deposit Account Later On

As the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants informed, the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the law on Anti-Corruption Committee proposes to create legal basis for the Anti-Corruption Committee to have deposit account afterwards, as well as in the cases of terminating the authorities of the Deputy Chairpersons of the Anti-Corruption Committee the case of submitting a written resignation letter to the Prime Minister The draft proposes also to regulate the relations connected with the termination of the activities of the Competition Committee of the First Composition.

The draft law was debated in the first reading at September 12 NA regular sitting.

The Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs endorsed the draft.

Afterwards the parliament in the second reading debated the draft law on Amending the Code on RA Administrative Offences. It is proposed for not illegally providing the information prescribed by law to increase the amount of fine designed by Article 189.7: make the amount of fine from thirtyfold to seventyfold, and in case of carrying out the same offense during one year after taking administrative penalty measures, make the fine from one hundred fold to one hundred fifty fold.

After being passed in the first reading substantial amendments were not made.

Lilit Minasyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs on the draft law.
