On September 9, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Regional Program Director for Eurasia of International Republican Institute Stephen Nix.
The sides discussed the agenda and ways of development of cooperation between the National Assembly and the International Republican Institute. It was emphasized that a number of training courses in different fields, round-tables, hearings have already been carried out within the framework of the project aimed at strengthening the capacity of the RA National Assembly with the IRI.
Referring to the upcoming plans, Steven Nix presented to Alen Simonyan the strategic priorities of their organization, aimed at judicial and constitutional reforms. He handed over the results of the sociological survey conducted by their organization in the entire territory of Armenia to the RA NA President, which related to the legislative, executive and other branches of the Government.
At the end of the meeting, the contribution to the involvement of political society in the spheres of the activity of the marzes and the legislative body was highlighted within the framework of cooperation with the International Republican Institute.
