Talks on Withdrawing Russian Military Base from Gyumri Has No Basis: Artur Hovhannisyan

On January 25, the parliamentary briefings following the NA regular sittings were held. The Secretary of the NA Civil Faction Artur Hovhannisyan, the Chair of the NA Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan and the Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vahagn Hovakimyan represented the NA Civil Contract Faction.

The Secretary of the NA Civil Faction Artur Hovhannisyan denied the news circulating in the press that in the near future the Russian 102nd military base will be withdrawn from Gyumri.

According to him, Armenia and Russia are strategic allies. The talks on withdrawing the Russian military base from Gyumri has no basis, i.e. this news was not subject for comment.
