The package of draft laws on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan and the enclosed ones authored by the Government was debated in the first reading at December 16 NA extraordinary sitting.

The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan has noted that the amendments proposed to the law clarify certain competences reserved to the Yerevan Municipality.

The order, conditions and restrictions for the use of the territory in Yerevan for organizing public catering service in summer and winter months in the territories of general use, adjacent to the catering facility are set. The order for the provision of permissions envisaged by law on Local Fees and Payments is stipulated.

The implementation of trade and public catering service not corresponding to sanitary and hygienic requirements set by normative legal acts in the field of food security ensured by the legislative regulations generates the notification of instruction to eliminate the violation, as well as the imposition of fine on the officials or organizer, twenty to thirty times of the minimum wage.

It is proposed to regulate the measures of responsibility envisaged by the Code related to the Administrative offenses to increase the efficiency of the collection of local duties, as well as to ensure the protection of rights of residents and consumers in the field of trade and service.
