Pensions and Allowances Have Great Weight in State Budget
1 / 12

At February 26 sitting, the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs debated the item on the procedure of the execution of the state budget for the first half year of 2020.

The Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that the world pandemic had left negative impact on the execution of the state budget of the first half year, and because of that, a number of programmes had incompletely been implemented.

As a result of the purposeful monetary-credit policy pursued by the Central Bank, the financial stability had been ensured, and the inflation had been 1.5-2%.

In the first half of the year 2020, the spheres of services, agriculture industry and construction had been mostly suffered. The Government worked out a package of anti-crisis events to neutralize the negative consequences of the pandemic. It includes events aimed at the social and economic support, the boosting of private investments and long-term development.

The Committee endorsed the draft laws presented in the second reading. The NA deputy Artak Manukyan removed from circulation the bill on Amending the law on the RA State Budget for 2021. The debate of the draft law designing amendments and addenda to the law on Audit Chamber was postponed up to two-month term.
