On January 18, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a talk with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh Republic (AR) Ashot Ghulyan.

Ararat Mirzoyan opined that today the special expanded sitting of Armenia-Artsakh Inter-Parliamentary Committee had great importance for giving assessment to the Armenians’ pogroms occurred 30 years ago in Baku. Qualifying the sitting historical the NA Speaker has underlined that they are committed to the process of fair compensation of pogrom victims and their heirs.

Thanking his colleague for organizing the Inter-Parliamentary Committee sitting in such format Ashot Ghulyan noted that during the previous one year firm bases of cooperation in different formats had been created between the two parliaments.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia personally thanked Ashot Ghulyan for joint partnership work and expressed confidence that this quality of cooperation with the National Assembly of the AP new convocation would be preserved after the expecting elections which should be free, transparent and competitive.
