Perspectives of Cooperation between Armenia and Vietnam Discussed

On June 24, the members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Anush Begloian, Gor Gevorgyan and the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Sona Ghazaryan met with the delegation led by the Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Manh Tien.

Welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, Anush Begloian has noted that Vietnam is an important partner for our country, and this visit is a good opportunity to discuss the perspectives of cooperation between the two countries. The MP has underscored the geographical position being between the West and East and has noted that it can have positive impact on the development of cooperation in terms of commercial and transport ways.

Anush Begloian has informed that the RA NA has ratified the Agreement of Investment Encouragement and Mutual Defense signed between Armenia and Korea, which supposes facilitated commercial elements in the spheres of aviation military industry. According to the MP, taking into consideration the good neighbourly relations between the Republics of Vietnam, also open perspectives of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Agreement.

The Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam presented the economic indices of his country, highlighted the development of cooperation in different spheres with Armenia. In this context he especially stressed the issues of the tourism development and the implementation of direct air flights.
