RA NA Standing Committees Convene Sittings

On April 9, the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Mane Tandilyan debated in the first reading the bill on Making Addendum to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements authored by the Bright Armenia Faction.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan presented the endorsement of the government.

Highlighting the presented legislative initiative the Committee presented to change some formulations from the first to the second reading, and the draft law was endorsed.

The Sub-Committee on Audit was created in the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, and its activity order was approved. Tigran Ulikhanyan was elected Sub-Committee Chairman.

The annual schedule of the citizens’ reception in the Committee for 2019-2020 was also approved.

At the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs which moderated the Committee Deputy Chair Ani Samsonyan, the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Human Trafficking and the Identification and Support of the Persons Subjected to Operation authored by the government was debated in the first reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Smbat Saiyan and Ani Samsonyan highlighted the legislative proposal.

As a result of debates, the draft law the draft law enjoyed the Committee’s endorsement.

On the same day at the sitting moderated by Andranik Kocharyan the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security considered a number of legislative initiatives on military service and police.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the Law Military Service and the Serviceman’s Status the RA authored by the deputies Vahe Enfiajyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Edward Babayan was debated.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan and the deputy Sipan Pashinyan presented the draft law. As a result of debate, the draft law was not endorsed.

The Deputy Head of Police Hovhannes Kocharyan presented for debate in the first reading the bill on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Law on Police.

The MP Armen Khachatryan emphasized the adoption of the bill and urged the Committee members to vote for it.

The deputies endorsed the draft law for including it in the agenda of the session and the upcoming sittings.
