The delegation led by the RA NA President Ara Babloyan takes part in the works of the 139^th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union going on October 14-18 in Geneva. The RA NA Vice President Mikayel Melkumyan, the RA NA deputies Shake Isayan and Shushan Sardaryan are in the delegation.

The items of the election of the President of the 139^th Assembly, the adoption of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, the Approval of the subject item for the Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights at the 141^st IPU Assembly and the appointment of the Rapporteurs and the Amendments to the IPU Statutes and Rules are on the agenda. The debates on the theme Parliamentary leadership in promoting peace and development in the age of innovation and technological change, as well as the presentation of the report on Peace and International Security; Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade and United Nations Affairs.
