On September 20, in the RA National Assembly a jubilee event dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Parliament, where the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the Catholicos of All Armenians, the President of Artsakh Republic and the Speaker of the National Assembly, the deputies of the RA Supreme Council and from the first to the sixth convocations of the National Assembly, the representatives of the RA executive and judicial authorities, the diplomats accredited in the Republic of Armenia and the officials attended.

The launch of the reception was given under the sounds of the RA anthem.

The Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan delivered his opening remarks.

The President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered their welcoming remarks, and the Supreme Patriarch, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II voiced his blessings.

Within the framework of the jubilee event a video film dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Parliament was shown, where the creation of the parliament and the history of its activities was presented.

The guests accompanied by the Head of the parliament Ara Babloyan took a tour in the newly opened museum and Press Club in the RA NA building. The invitees observed the photo exhibition organized in the foyer of the Session Hall.

In the newly created museum they can see souvenirs given to the RA Parliament during the visits of the MPs to the foreign countries, as well as the delegations of different states who visited our country.

In the exhibition photos, documents, lists and other materials reflecting the whole palette of the activities of the legislative body of our country from 1 August 1918, from the first sitting of the parliament of the First Republic of Armenia until nowadays are presented in the exhibition.

The jubilee event dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the parliament ended with the official reception organized for the invitees in the parliament park, during which Armenian composers’ works were performed by Yervand Yerznkyan orchestra.
