Part of Recommendations by the Committee Functioning Adjunct to RA Prime Minister Presented to Parliamentary Working Group of the RA Electoral Legislation Reforms

On July 13, the Parliamentary Working Group created for the RA Electoral Legislation Reforms convened the fifth sitting, where the Head of the Electoral Legislation Reforms’ Committee adjunct to the RA Prime Minister, the RA First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the Committee Secretary Daniel Ioannisyan and the member Aghasi Yesayan also took part.

Ararat Mirzoyan has clarified the deputies how he sees the cooperation between the Working Groups formed between the RA executive and legislative bodies.

Afterwards the Committee Secretary Daniel Ioannisyan continued presenting the approaches of the Committee.

The members of the RPA Faction Davit Harutyunyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan, the ARF Faction members Armen Rustamyan and Spartak Seyranyan, Yelq/Way out Faction Member Alen Simonyan, Tsarukyan Faction members Naira Zohrabyan and Sergey Bahratyan presented their viewpoints on the proposal.

The Committee also debated the provisions regarding the women’s representation, the electoral redtape, the formation of the regional and divisional Committees, the summary of the voting data and the publication of the voters’ lists.

The next sitting will be held on July 17 at 12:00. The RA NA Factions will present their opinions on the electoral system.
