On March 7, within the framework of the visit to the United States of America the RA NA Vice President, Head of Armenia-USA Friendship Group Arpine Hovhannisyan met with Gretchen Birkle, Deputy Assistant Administrator in the USAID Bureau for Europe and Eurasia.
During the meeting the importance of the implemented and implementing programmes in Armenia by the USAID were touched upon. The perspectives of cooperation in the spheres of information technologies, tourism, restoring energy and other spheres were discussed. Both sides also emphasized a new format of cooperation, particularly transition from aid to commercial relations.
