THE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

ON MAKING SUPPLEMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW "RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY"

Article 1. Part 3 of Article 142 of the Constitutional Law LA-9-N of December 16, 2016 (Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly) (hereinafter: Law) after the words “documents certifying the provision of the requirements,” shall be supplemented with the words “,as well as the advisory opinion towards ethics provided by the Commission for Prevention of Corruption."

Article 2. Part 3 of Article 143 of the Law shall be supplemented with the words "as well as the advisory opinion towards ethics provided by the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption" after the words "documents certifying the provision of the requirements".

Article 3. In Article 145 of the Law:

1) Part 4.1, after the words “documents certifying the provision of the requirements”, shall be supplemented with the words “, and in case of the candidate for Prosecutor General, also the questionnaire on the ethics completed by the candidate;”

2) Part 4.1 shall be supplemented with a new sentence with the following content: "If the requirements of the Constitution and the law are met, the chairperson of the competent standing committee of the National Assembly, within a working day, shall submit a completed questionnaire on the ethics of the candidate for the Prosecutor General to the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption for receiving an advisory opinion within two weeks."

3) Part 5, after the words “within two weeks,” shall be supplemented with the words “and in the case of the candidate for the Prosecutor General, within the period provided the advisory opinion on the candidate shall be provided by the Commission for Prevention of Corruption, as defined in Part 4.1 of this Article,” and the same part after the word "extract" with the words "and, in the case of the candidate for the Prosecutor General, also the advisory opinion provided by the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption."

Article 4. This Law shall enter into force on the tenth day following the day of its official publication.
