He was born on March 10, 1961 in Yerevan.

In 1997 he graduated from # 7 technical college of Abovian town. In 2007 he graduated from the faculty of law of Yerevan L.Kalashian Armenian Open University. He is a lawyer.

1980-1982 he served in the Soviet Army.

1982-1990 he worked in the catering associations of Abovian town and Spandarian district of Yerevan. 1990-1993 he was freight forwarder in Astafian cooperative. On January 5, 2007 he was elected President of Astafian CJSC.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected a deputy by the proportional electoral system from the Prosperous Armenia Party.

He is married and has two children.
