Born July 7, 1951 in Ijevan.

1973 - Graduated from the Faculty of Technical Cybernetics of YSI. Electrical engineer.

1974 -1976 - Head of the Organizational Department of the Lenin District Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League of Yerevan, second, then  first secretary of the Lenin District Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League of Yerevan.  

1976 -1984 - First Secretary of the Yerevan City Committee of the  AULYCL.

1984 - 1986 - Secretary of the party committee of the SPU (Scientific Production Union)  “Armelectrocar.”

1986 - 1988 - Inspector of the organizational department of the CPA (Communist Party of Armenia).

1988 -1990 - First Secretary of the Gugark Regional Committee of the CPA.

1996 - 1997 - Deputy Mayor of Yerevan.

April-November, 1997 - Governor of the Lori province of the Republic of Armenia.

2007- 2008 - Deputy General Director of the CJSC “Mika Corporation.”

2008 - 2010 - Chairman of the public organization Football Club “Mika.”

2010 - 2017 - Director of the CJSC “Unicorn Trade.”

1990 - 1995 - Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia. Secretary of the Standing Committee of the SC (Supreme Council) on Mandate and Ethics.

1994 - 1995 - Member of the Constitutional Commission. Member of the “Liberal Democrats” parliamentary group.

1995 -1999 - Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

July 1995 - November 1997 - Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

November 1997 - February 1998 - Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

February 1998 - May 1999 - Member of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republic” faction.

June 20, 2021 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the “Civil Contract” party.

Married, with two children.
