Born on January 27, 1952, in the village of Nerkin Jrapi, Ani region (now Shirak province).

1974 - Graduated from the History Department of the Yerevan State University. Historian. Lieutenant-General.

1974 - 1976 - Teacher of Ararat Industrial and Technological College.

1976 - 1980 - Secretary, 2nd Secretary of the ULYCL (Union Leninist Young Communist League) Ararat District Committee.

1980 - 1985 - Officer in Police, a Senior Officer in Police in the Goris Department of the SSC (State Security Committee).

1985 - 1991 - Head of the Yeghegnadzor branch of the SSC.

1991 - 1992 - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Yeghegnadzor District Council.

1993 - 1996 - Head of the SSC Masis Branch.

1996 -1997 - Head of the SSC Shirak province administration.

1997- 1999 - Head of the SSC Yerevan City Department.

1999 - 2002 - Head of the Control Service of the President of the Republic of Armenia. 2002 - 2003 - Head of the Control Service of the Staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

2003 - 2007 - Head of the State Tax Service adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

2007 - Adviser to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

2007 - 2013 - Deputy Director of the National Security Service adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

2013 - 2016 - Governor of the Shirak province of the Republic of Armenia.

2016 - 2017 - Head of the Control Service of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #11 of the RPA.

2005 - Awarded the Medal “Anania Shirakatsi.”

2016 - Awarded the second rate Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland.”
