Born on October 24, 1958 in Yerevan.

1982 - Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Yerevan State University. Specialist of Armenian language and literature.

2002 - Participated in the training course of “The Role of Media in the Electoral Processes,” conducted by the U.S. Government in the framework of “International Visitor.”

1983 - 1996 - Journalist then Editor for the school division of the children and teen-ager newspaper “Pioneer Kanch” (later-“Kanch”).

1996 - 2012 - Political journalist, commentator for the “Aravot” daily.

1999 - 2001 - Cooperation with the radio station “Freedom.”

2011 - Lecturer at V. Brusov Yerevan State Linguistic University.

2014 - Lecturer at Kh. Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University.

2012 - 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia. Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republican” (RPA) faction. Member of the RPA Council.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the RPA national electoral list.

2008 - Received the Title of “Journalist of the Year” (magazine “De Facto”).

2010 - Award of the EU “TI Report” program.

2011 - Awarded the Prize of “Journalistic Investigation” of Yerevan Press Club for compiling and editing the “Tiezerakan” (Universal) book.

2003 - Awarded Letter of thanks of the Ministry of Social Safety of the Republic of Armenia.

2012 - Awarded the Commemorative Medal “20th Anniversary of the Armenian Army” of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

2015 - Awarded the “Vazgen Sargsyan” Medal.

Author of three books: “Mad House or Hot Autumn,” “Tales,” “Marduk-jarduk” and numerous articles and publications.

Married, with three children.
