Born on August 5, 1946 in the village of Sinadan in the Isfahan region of Iran.

1965 -1968 - Studied at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute (for political reasons left his studies incomplete.)

1968 - Technician in the Housing Administration of Yerevan District of 26 Commissaries.

1970-1972 - Fitter and store­keeper in the “Haykapshin” Administrative Office.

1972 - 1977 - Storekeeper,  worker and later technical supervisor in the Yerevan Automobile Loading Plant.

1977 - 1981 - Skilled worker in the “Abovyanshin” Trust.

1981 - 2003 - Worker, Field Head, Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director in Yerevan “Hydroaparat” Plant.

2012 - 2014 - Adviser to the Chief of the Staff, the Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

2003 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA.)

Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the RPA faction.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA.)

Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the RPA faction.

June 5, 2014 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly from the proportional electoral system of the Republican Party of Armenia.

2003 - Awarded with the “Garegin Nzhdeh” Medal.

Married, with four children.
