Born on April 28, 1959 in Leninakan (Gyumri.)

1982 -1983 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1981 - Graduated from the Faculty of Construction of Leninakan branch of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

1988 - Finished the Moscow LYCU Higher Educational School.

2004 - Postgraduate of the Institute of Economic Reforms and the Department of Public Administration adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia. Engineer-builder, Candidate for Economy.

1973 - 1975 - Worker at Leninakan state selection station.

1978 - 1981 - Commander of student’s construction detachment of Leninakan branch of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in Mari autonomous Republic and in Tyumen province.

1981 - 1982 - Secretary of the Lenin Youth Communist Union (LYCU) Committee of the Leninakan branch of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

1984 - 1989 - Secretary of LYCU Committee of Leninakan Electrical Technical factory, Head of the ALYCU Leninakan City Committee division, the first Secretary of the Moskovyan district committee of the city.

1989 - 1990 - Instructor at the Leninakan City Council of the Communist Party of Armenia.

1990 - Elected as Deputy of Leninakan City Council.
