Born on June 18, 1954 in Yerevan.

1980 - Graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. Architect - constructor.

Artsakh Freedom War Participant, Commander of the “Sasna-tsrer” detachment.

1990 - 1993 - Actively participated in the battles for the defence of Yeraskhavan, Voskepar, Kirantsi, Tshambarak, Artsvashen, Askeran, Khojalu, Shushi, Lachin and Martakert.

1991 - 1994 - Deputy of Mashtots District Council.

1996 - 1999 - Head of the Community District of Davidashen in Yerevan.

1993 - 2011 - Member of the Department of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union (YVU.)

1994 - 2005 - Chairman of the YVU Mashtots territorial organization, then Chairman of the YVU Davitashen territorial organization.

Carried out a number of charitable works. Built  “Srbots Nahatakats” (“Holy Martyrs,”)  Church in Davitashen. Founded the park “Daisy,” opened a canteen for the needy senior citizens.

1999 - 2003 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #7.) Member of the Standing Committee on Defence, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Unity” faction,” then member of the “Hayastan” parliamentary group. Non partisan.

2009 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, PAP.)

October 21, 2009 - April 16, 2010 - Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

April 16, 2010 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Defence, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Prosperous Armenia” faction. PAP member.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the “Prosperous Armenia” party.

Member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Armenia. Author of 5 books.

Awarded the Medals of “Maternal Gratitude to Artsakh Daring Fellows” (1995,) “Battle Service” (1996, RA,) “Marshal Baghramyan,” (1997, MD,) Badge of “Participant of Battle Activities” (1997, MD,) Medal “For Courage” (2000, NKR.)

Awarded with the Armenian Apostolic Church “St. Grigor Lusavorich” (2002,) and “Vazgen Sargsyan Sparapet” (2003) Orders, “Garegin Nzhdeh” (2004, MD,) “Andranik Ozanyan” (2006, MD,) “Mkhitar Gosh” (2011, RA,) Jubilee “Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia: 20 Years” (2012, MD) Medals.
